Terms of Consignment:
- All items to be considered for consignment must be clean, on hangers, or neatly folded. In the event that items arrive in need of laundry or dry cleaning, the Consignor shall be responsible for all such charges.
- Items with stains or in need of extensive repair will not be considered, so your presentation of items for consignment is very important. The Patchwork Pony reserves the right to refuse items of less than excellent quality or condition.
- The Consignor may set or consult with The Patchwork Pony regarding the asking price of their consignment merchandise, and/or set reserve pricing if they wish. The Consignor will receive 60% of the final selling price and The Patchwork Pony will receive 40%.
- Consignment checks will be prepared for each month’s sales and will be mailed to the Consignor by the 15th day of the following month.
- Consignors may choose to have any of their unsold items shipped back to them at any time. However, due to the time involved with processing items, if a return is requested within one year of processing, a $25.00 fee will be assessed. The Consignor is responsible for all shipping charges and desired insurance level.
- The Patchwork Pony agrees to care for consignment merchandise properly and store and display it in a climate-controlled environment.
- Merchandise on display at The Patchwork Pony remains the property of the Consignor until sold, and the Consignor retains all rights and responsibilities of ownership.
- Effective 8/1/15, and in January of each year thereafter, The Patchwork Pony will assess a $25.00 annual consignment fee to each consignment account. The fee will be charged to the first consignment check after the assessment.
- In the event that any piece of individual merchandise is damaged while on display, such as seam rips while customers try on items, The Patchwork Pony will make all attempts to have the damage corrected or will pay the Consignor 60% of the asking price.
- The Patchwork Pony will not accept responsibility for damage to, or destruction of, merchandise on consignment that could occur as a result of fire, flood, or other major events outside the control of The Patchwork Pony. The Consignor agrees to hold The Patchwork Pony harmless for these events.
